Rent a Date for Charity with Meet@last - 30th Aug 2008
Meet at Last are proud to be supporting the charity Rent a Date for Charity and would love it if you would get involved too.
Lisa Connell who founded the charity is living with an inoperable brain tumor and is currently undergoing radiotherapy to extend her life as much as she is able. She began campaigning for awareness and funds and came up with the genius idea to get herself out on the singles market and invite others to bid for a date! Her date is currently on at £1500 or more by now.
Since then, it's really taken off and Lisa has a lot of press coverage and celebrity support inc our very own Jo Hemmings! Please take a look at the site and see which celebrities you can bid for...
There are two ways Meet at Last guests and friends can help raise funds using Rent A Date For Charity:
1. you can either enter yourself into the auction as a candidate for a date or
2. you can bid on potential dates - so simple!
To become a date candidate or bidder you first need to register. Once registered you can begin bidding on as many candidate dates as you like!
(A bit like eBay, you can pay for the better advertising spots and positioning then see who bids on you. Invite all your friends and colleagues to sign in and support please.)
